Join us on Saturday, October 10th, at Baummer Pond (on the hill above the pond near Field Street) from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon for the groundbreaking of the new pollinator area.

Doug T, Doug P, and Erik have been working with the Parks Department to set aside this space for the new pollinator garden, and we are ready to break ground! Our members have donated some perennials to plant that day, so bring a shovel, a rake, or just your bare hands to participate. If you would rather just watch and cheer us on, that’s great as well!

This will be a fall groundbreaking, and come springtime, more wildflower seeds and other pollinator-friendly plants will be planted. If you have any plants you would like to donate for this project, please reach out to Erik, as we would love to continue to add more.

We look forward to having you join us on this exciting day as we continue to KEEP NAUGATUCK BEAUTIFUL (and our pollinators happy)!

If you build it, they will come.
