Following the success of last May’s flower pounding workshop, we are offering an expanded flower pounding workshop on Thursday, October 15 where we will be creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind tea towels. Instruction will include choosing and prepping fabric; composition & techniques for transferring designs; and fabric aftercare.

The Naugatuck Garden Club will provide the fabric tea towel, pounding mat, blotting paper and a small selection of flowers. Participants will need to bring a hammer (a metal hammer is recommended) and flowers and greenery you would like to use in your design.

We are very excited to offer this workshop to both members and non-members of the club. However, for non-members, there are a limited amount of spots and we will be charging a $10 material fee. Materials will be covered for members. Regardless of membership, if you want to participate in the program, you will need to RSVP by Friday, October 9.

Note: This event will take place in the rear of Terri’s Flower Shop, and we will start at 6:00 P.M. so we can capture as much of the wanning sunlight as possible. The business meeting and refreshments will follow in the church hall.
